The Physical Education (PE) PGCE course at St Mary’s University continues the tradition of producing outstanding practitioners of secondary PE. Trainees are assessed on their ability to teach pupils in the 11-16 age range, with opportunities for KS5 academic PE teaching as appropriate.
Trainees will gain experience across a diverse range of secondary school settings and activity areas throughout the course.
Applications will be accepted from individuals that have a 2:1, or above with an ’ in line’ degree classification. You can apply to our Secondary PE PGCE course with a 2:2 ‘in line’ degree classification but your application should also highlight an understanding of Secondary PE curriculum.
