About the course

As a Teach North Mathematics trainee, you will encourage students to think deeply and problem solve more effectively – a great life skill that all universities and employers will appreciate. Alongside your students, you will explore number, algebra, shape and space and statistics.

You will deliver lessons that promote opportunities for students to construct their own learning and discover their own rules, through the use of concrete materials such as counters and pictorial representations to demonstrate and apply concepts to solve abstract and real-life problems.

Your classroom will be brimming with discussion, questioning, proving and explaining.

On completion of this programme, you will be awarded a PGCE with QTS and 60 Masters credits in Education from Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU). We’re excited about our new partnership with BGU, creating a collaborative model of training.
