PGCE with QTS
A postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE) with qualified teacher status (QTS) will allow you to teach in state schools in England and may allow you to teach in other parts of the UK.
It may also allow you to teach overseas, though you should always check what qualifications are needed in the country you’d like to teach in.
Many PGCE courses include credits that count toward a Master’s degree.

About the course
The course is focused on being in school full time from the first day of the school year. You will gradually increase the amount of time you are leading lessons in partnership with your subject mentor. The PGCE element of the course comprises of 4 assessments each worth 15 Masters credit and a final portfolio which will be assessed for QTS recommendation.
Candidates will have access to a full taught programme either based in Weston super Mare or available remotely during their course, but will also have the option to access events and lectures which are held at the University site in Plymouth.
