About the training provider

KCSP is a Multi Academy Catholic Trust whose core purpose is to be academes of outstanding learning and where the Catholic faith is taught and nurtured. Our desire is that all pupils and staff are given the opportunity to grow in confidence and maximise their potential. Our inclusive values offer such development for all our trainee teachers. Our teacher training offer is supported by all 24 schools in our MAT. There are 19 primary schools and 5 secondary schools the vast majority of which are rated either Good or Outstanding. St Margaret Clitherow is the lead school for the School Direct offer, both salaried and unsalaried, from where we have supported all the other academies in our trust for the last 4 years to ensure excellent training towards QTS and we welcome applications from all.

Interview process

If you are offered an interview following application this will be carried out by our School Direct Lead and in agreement with Christchurch.

During the interview there will be a short (approx 20minutes)observed interaction with a group of primary children with follow up questions. We always recognise that there will be candidates with a wide range of previous experience which may not include a great deal of work in a school, this will be taken into account. Although we would advise the candidates to have visited a school prior to application and interview. There will then be a 3O minute face to face interview.

Training with disabilities and other needs

As a Multi Academy Trust of 24 schools we are able to offer placements which accommodate all additional needs.
