QTS
Qualified teacher status (QTS) allows you to teach in state schools in England and may also allow you to teach in other parts of the UK.

About the course
North Manchester ITT Partnership works with over nine Primary Partnership Schools delivering Primary age range of 3-7 or 5-11. Your Primary placement provides you with outstanding teaching and learning experience in the appropriate age range. You will also have experience in each transition phase.
You will have teaching experience in your specialist age range in 2 complementary placements, practising both core and foundation subjects.
School placements
You will have experience in 2 complementary placements.
5-11 age range - KS1 and KS2 (You will also spend some time in KS3 so that you can observe the importance of the transition.
3-7 age range - Reception and KS1 ( You also have some experience of nursery)
We offer over 140 days in school.
Interview process
Your salaried interview process will consist of the following:
Your interview will be held at your school.

- for Sep 2020, numeracy and literacy test
- Primary scenarios
- 20 minute teaching task
- 30 minute planning task
- subject knowledge test, usually KS2 Grammar paper
- formal interview
We aim to make a decision within 24 hours of your interview
Salary
For a salaried place, you will be already working in a school who is willing to employ you through your training year.
Your salary will be comensurate with an unqualified teacher’s salary. This will be in agreement with your own school.
Financial support
Financial support isn’t available for this course because it comes with a salary.
If you choose a course without a salary, you may be eligible for financial support while you study, including bursaries, scholarships and loans.

Qualifications
English Language, Mathematics and Science GCSE level 4/grade C equivalent or above.
First degree
Other requirements
For a salaried place, you will need to have worked for at least 3 years - so that you have the relevant experience. You will also need to be financially supported by your school as they will need to agree to employ you through your training year.
You will also need to be familiar with the Primary curriculum (2014).
About the training provider
North Manchester ITT Partnership has been training teachers since 2014. We have achieved “Good” at Ofsted across all areas in December 2017 who commented particularly on our personalised provision and “wrap around care”.
North Manchester ITT Partnership achieved 100% retention in 2019-20 and most of its trainees are now teaching in the Manchester area.
North Manchester ITT Partnership works with two main Greater Manchester High Schools and at present eight Primary Schools.

- SEND enhancement
- continued subject knowledge enhancement
- continued Newly Qualified Teacher support and training
