About the training provider
Upton Meadows Primary School is the lead school working in partnership with NPAT schools across Northampton. We work in partnership with the University of Northampton to offer Schools Direct Initial Teacher Training and to ensure that you leave us well equipped to embark upon your career in the classroom. The schools in our alliance offer a diverse range of experiences.
We ensure you are fully supported to get QTS. Our School Direct training course is ideal for trainees who are looking for hands-on in-school training, learning from teachers who deliver lessons every day, as well as pedagogy and theory from the University of Northampton. We have a good record of employment with our trainees, many of whom go on to gain employment within our alliance.
Interviews are held at the University of Northampton and if candidates are successful they will be invited for a further interview at Upton Meadows Primary School. During this interview process the candidates will be observed working with children.
