Interview process

If your application for teacher training is successful, you will be contacted by email and telephone to attend an interview at one of our partnership schools. We will send you information about how to prepare for the interview and once in attendance, you will be interviewed by either our SCITT Director and SCITT Manager and/or a colleague from within our partnership of schools.

We will ask you to prepare for the following: 1 - Solo plan and teach a lesson for 30 minutes with a subject topic provided by the SCITT. 2 - Formal interview with the SCITT Director and SCITT Manager 3 - Complete a 20-minute literacy task

How school placements work

We have many schools in Coventry in our partnership and we place trainees based on expertise in mentoring and providing valuable teacher training opportunities. We encourage our trainees to visit potential placement schools prior to shortlisting and endeavor to place trainees in one of their first three choices of schools.

The Coventry SCITT organises the contrasting second placement for all trainees to ensure they have the opportunity to teach in a contextually different school.

The course fees for UK students in 2021 to 2022 are £9,250
